To help get to grips with the scale of the room and the furniture in it, with created a scale model of the planned room and the furniture. This allowed us to see if everything would work out and fit in the room (we used a scale of 1 foot to 1 inch) We had to make a number of adjustments in order to make the room look right some furniture was removed and some rescaled in order for the room to become less cluttered.
